Dear Anne, first of all a transcription of this short text: Willem Harmenss cuijper vercoopt / Arijaentgen Tijssen een huijs in der / Hopsteech voor vierhondert

Willem Harmenss, a cooper, sells to Arijaentgen Tijssen a house in the Hopsteech for four hundred guilders. The very word for the money, gulden , stands presumably on the next page. The yard is not mentioned. These pages looks like an index to the acts in a register, maybe the full act can be found in it.

Bedankt!

Great information from such a small text.

So am I right, women could buy property in their own name in the Netherlands in 1628?

best wishes

Anne
