I think the image is missing, but a pothuis is small extension in front or alongside of a house, which extension is covered by a small steep roof. It could be used as storage (e.g. for cooking utensils), but was also sometimes used as a small store; it derives its name either from pots for cooking or from pottery as salesware. Examples of such pothuizen in Utrecht and Groningen in attachments.
A bailge means bellows.
