DTB Dopen 1719 Riethoven, NB

https://www.rhc-eindhoven.nl/collectie?mizig=380&miadt=48&miaet=54&mico…

On the right side of this scan; some baptisms are out of order; between 30-april and 16-may we see:

1719 3 august Baptizatus est Joes filius legitimus Petri Kusters et Catharine Gerarts sus. Joes Kusters et Maria Berghmans

1719 13 februarij Baptizata est Engelberta filia legitima Antonij Kremers et Elisabetha Kusters sus. Petrus Kremers et Maria Kusters

On the left side of NEXT scan we see:

1719 5 julij Baptizatus est Joannes filius legitimus Petri Kusters et Catharina Kremers sus. Joes Kusters et Maria Jacobi Smits

From baptisms on 11-05-1709 and 24-02-1714 we see mother is "Catharina Gerardus Cremers"; so I deduce that "Catharine Gerarts (03-aug above)" and "Catharina Kremers (05-jul above)" are the same person.

Assuming that baptisms took place very soon after child's birth; it seems impossible that both these baptisms (03-aug and 05-jul) took place only one month apart in the same year.

Is anyone able to make sense of events recorded on these pages?

met vriendelijke groet,
Frank Bax

Dear Frank, a note in the inventory for these registers explains for inv.no. 34.4, this register contains at fol. 30 a note from 1725 about a conflict with the vicar of Waalre. The note in Latin states the Waalre vicar registered baptisms, marriages and burials at Riethoven in the Waalre registers. I suppose some entries were entered only later on intermittently in the register for Riethoven. You will probably have to check the Waalre register, too, for example the baptismal register inv.no. 42.4 for the period 1717-1735. Hopefully staff and vistors of the RHC Eindhoven can help you to clarify this matter.
