It seems to me that only the first of the 2 pages is displayed. Which is a pity, as it is an interesting document.
I can tell you already that Nicolas Claverley is one of the witnesses appearing before a Lieden public notary, depositing a statement at the request of Thomas Immen, fellow-Englishman, tobacco salesman and just like the witnesses living in the city of Leiden. The case concerns the fact that a gloves maker, named Christoffel, living at the home of Thomas, had been accused of telling Thomas Immen's housewife that he knew many bad things about Thomas, which should remain secret, as these things might cost Thomas a lot of money, or even his head. The accused Christoffel, asked about this by the witnesses in presence of the claimant, denied this, but there seems to be more to the story in part 2....
