I have a French Manuscript from 1624 and am trying to see what it is regarding. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Please post the rest of this manuscript. Right now it's impossible to tell what's this about. (probably something to do with buying or selling property, especially land).
The person selling or buying is Henri Hurault, comte de Cheverny. (born 1575, deceased 1648)
You can google him for more information.
The manuscript has many pages, but these are the next 4 pages if this helps
Ignore my post about Henri Hurault as he's nor the buyer, nor the seller. The reason why he's mentioned as first is because this happens under his jurisdiction.
It's a contract between seller Nicollas Longuenal from Chaulmont & buyer Pierre Brasseulx from Orléans. What's been sold: several items, hence the long contract. It starts with a room in a house (strange, but that's what it says), then several pieces of farmland.
If you really need it fully transcribed, you can always ask on following forum, with experienced native speakers.
Thank you so much Andreas for your help and thank you for that forum link!
