Dear Anne, de boekschulden were the debts noted in the schuldboek, the ledger kept by Barbara Rotteveel. The inventory states Barbara had retreated from business many years ago and thus it is unlikely any debtors would pay the outstanding debts. The book will be closely examined, but the debts are noted only pro memorie, with no value assigned to them.

At the end of the inventory I uploaded before for Barbara Rotteveel's house, this page is a bit of a mystery.
I think it's to do with the pottery business she ran- possibly a book about employees?
It would be great to unravel this little mystery.

Again an interesting glimpse into Barbara's life. As she was 80yrs old when she died it's not surprising that she'd retreated from the business many years before. It makes sense that these debts could not be pursued after all this time.
