1625-house sale?

This document is regarding Hans Mesch- perhaps as seller of property-or maybe paying the taxes due?

It would be really helpful to know if either of the above, and where the property is located in Delft if possible.

Many thanks

Anne

The land beyond de Watersloot was an area where many merchants did their business. The area has been historically investigated per house and has its own Wiki-site (in Dutch only)

Dear Rene & Geert

This is absolutely fascinating. Thank you both.

Willem Joriss Ros(c)am was the brother of Lisbeth Jorisdr Roscam who was married to Hans Jaspersz Mes(ch).

Willem & Lisbeth Roscam were the children of Joris Willam Roscam, owner of the Roscam brewery in Delft  a tax collector and a skipper in Rotterdam. He was also on Delft Council 1581.

Willem Jorissz Roscam was described as a 'wealthy amateur artist' in Delft. He was a rich cloth merchant registered as an embroiderer at the St Lukes Guild in Delft.

very best wishes

Anne
