Can you find a better scan. This one is very bad.
This is a marriage contract between Frederick Uuytenhagen van Ruven (doctor in both laws?) and Cornelia Adriaensdr de Vriese before 2 aldermen in Haarlem.
witnesses: for Frederick
Dirck Uuytenhagen (father)
Elisabeth Frederick van Ruiven (mother)
Cornelis de Cocq- (brother in law).
Witnesses: for Cornelia
Cornelia Fransdr- unknown?
Gerrit Dircksz de Vriese ( uncle)?
Adriaen Dircksz de Vriese -registered- Father of bride.
The document is in poor condition which is obvious from the copy on the Delft website- and attached here.
If anyone can make out any extra information that would be wonderful :-)
Just a final thought- if the marriage contract was conducted in Haarlem does that mean it's where the bride came from? Frederick (I think) lived in Delft at that time, or certainly his parents did.
with grateful thanks as always to the great team on the Forum.

Morning Geert
Yes it's very poor quality isn't it.
I'll write to Delft archives and ask them, but on their website it says the document is in poor condition and is not available to order.
But nonetheless they may be able to produce a better scan.
best wishes
Anne
