"will of divorce" is a wrong translation. It is a will made bij Adriaen's son Joris, who will travel to Indie. Adriaen is the heir. So it is not what you are looking for, because the father is Adriaen himself and not his father.
Real estate-property owners 1648-1812
This is a lengthy legal document as it records the owners of property in Delftshaven from 1648-1812.
I'm interested in the very top section, which thankfully hasn't been crossed out.
My focus again is Adriaen van Suijtbroeck..according to Delft archives 'translation' beside his name it says:
19/4/1653 Will for divorce; his father as sole heir.
This doesn't make sense to me, as although Adriaen had been married before his first wife died in 1643, so before he married Grietgen van Noorthwijck in 1644. As we've seen on my previous posts Grietgen is noted as the wife of Adriaen, even after he died.
I have no idea if 'divorce' was even possible mid 17th century, so all in all, very curious!

I did wonder about the 'translation' :-)
Thanks for the correct version. That makes absolute sense as I knew Joris was Adriaen's son from his first marriage. So it wasn't a link to Adriaen's father, who I presume was called Dammen van Souijtbroeck- not that I can find any trace of him in Delft, which was what I was hoping for.
Still nice to have the 'mystery' solved.
