19 September 1624

This concerns the burial register of the church in Delft, 

Gerrit Pietersz - potter? (all possibly misspelt)

There seem to be a lot of people buried per day- 19th & 20th. Was there a problem at that time I wonder?

In 1624-1625 the plague was hitting Delft hard, kiĺling about 4200 of its 20000 inhabitants, so about 21 percent of the population. Contagion was widespread, because at the start of this epidemic, there were regional celebrations attracting a lot of visitors.
