This is such an example of an arrangement with the Orphans' Chamber. In this document the widowed father Moyses Janszen van Nederveen promises to pay his children their part of the inheritance of their mother (and his wife) Jannetgen Jacobsdochter de Vogel. Also, legal guardians are appointed here.
Names and ages of the children:
Applonia, 14 years; a second child, name and age unknown because of paper damage; Catarijna, 5 years; Helena, age unknown due to paper damage (but younger than 5); a fifth child, name unknown due to paper damage, 18 weeks old; Jan, also 18 weeks old (the latter two children obviously being twins).
Each child will inherit 700 carolus guilders as their legitimate part of their mother's inheritance once they come of age (25th birthday) or when they got married. In addition, each child is entitled to his/her part of the jewelry (rings) and silverware (or the equivalent in money).
Abraham de Heul is mentioned in the note in the left margin as husband of Catarina van Nederveen, acting on her behalf, stating together with others that Moyses had paid them the promised amount on 29 November 1645.
